  • May 17: Southwest – Huntingburg Event Center (DuBois County)
  • May 18: West Central – The Inn at DePauw Event Center (Putnam County)
  • May 23: Northwest – Meadow Springs (Franceville, Pulaski County)
  • May 24: Northeast – Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum (DeKalb County)

Meeting Costs

County Members: $45 per person
Associate Members: $60 per person
Non-Associate Members: $85 per person

AIC Institute Class – Record Retention – 4/18/2023

The AIC Institute for Excellence course being held this year on Day 1 of our Spring Conference will be on records retention. Join us on April 18, 2023, at the Keystone Sheraton, where our conference will also be held. From the AIC website:

“Are records piling up in your office? Do you know what records in your office you must retain and for how long? Do you know what records you need for audit?

“Join us at the AIC Institute for Excellence class on record retention to find the answers to many of your questions. We will hear from speakers from the Indiana Archive and Records Administration along with speakers from the State Board of Accounts.”

They mention an Illinois County Recorder, where it seems records can be had for free, so if you share this (please do!), make sure to note that Indiana Recorders have to charge $1 per page.

, we must be careful to refrain from calling these solicitations “scams” or otherwise claiming they are illegal or fraudulent. This has been through the courts in Indiana
